ABSTRACT COAT

So as many of you know I am currently studying Fashion Design at the University of Westminster in 2nd year. This is a shoot of my first project of second year, it was a creative cutting project with the garment being made predominantly from working on the stand opposed to pattern cutting.
 Model: Jess Calam
Photography: Luke Hurlock
I made this abstract shape pleather coat inspired by different abstract art but with main influence from various Bauhaus artists and Kazimir Malevich.
I am a massive advocate for colours and shapes and I find these are what I tend to like visually as a designer. Overall I think this garment displays who I am as a designer and I am very proud with the outcome. Hope you like.
I want to continue with this idea in my spare time and create something that is more wearable in the near future.
